What's Under the Hood

The PlayStation 3 320 GB system features an IBM "Cell" processor and a co-developed NVIDIA graphics processor that together allow the system to perform two trillion calculations per second. Yet the 320 GB system manages to improve on this with its 45nm version of the processor, which although running at the same 60+nm speed as previous PS3 versions, uses less energy. Au trecut doar cateva luni de cand am vazut ultimul titlu din seria Need for Speed. Insa World era gandit ca un MMO, si nu un simplu simulator. Deci nu continua seria in adevaratul sens. Asa ca acum au reecranizat, sub acelasi nume, jocul Hot Pursuit din 1998. Pentru cei ce nu mai tin minte, vorbim despre cel de-al III-lea titlu NFS. Noul Hot Pursuit, lansat pe data de 16 noiembrie 2010, este al XIV-lea astfel de joc. Si, la fel ca si precedentul sau, aduce in scena politia si urmaririle la mare viteza. Si putem juca de ambele parti ale baricadei, fiecare campanie oferindu-ne intre 12 si 15 ore de distractie, cu masini si modificari atat comune cat si specifice. Totul se petrece in Seacrest County, un taram fictiv cu peste 160 de Km de drumuri, tocmai bune pentru curse. Si pentru a ne inregistra evolutia si propriile recorduri, avem la dispozitie un sistem similar Facebook-ului, denumit Autolog. Aici ne putem gasi prietenii, compara rezultatele, si comunica liber in cadrul jocului. Masinile supersportive sunt excelent realizate grafic, si undeva spre 100 ca numar. Deci avem de unde alege! Insa controlul automobilelor nu este cel mai realist de pana acum, accentul punandu-se pe gameplay. Sistemul minim necesar ar trebui sa includa un procesor dual core, 1.5 GB de RAM, 8 GB liberi pe HDD, si placa video GeForce 7600 sau Radeon X1950 cu 256 MB memorie. Iar recomandat ar fi un CPU dual core la 2.6 GHz, 2 GB de RAM, tot 8 GB pe HDD, si placa video GeForce 8800GT sau Radeon HD ...
